Start the morning with a beautifully presented Japanese or Western breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Your private driver and guide will meet you at reception to transfer you to the start of today's walk through the Senjogahara wetlands. This scenic hike begins at Lake Yunoko, where you will follow a lakeside trail to the top of Yudaki Falls, before descending to its base. From here you will be led along the Yugawa River through the forest eventually emerging onto the open Senjogahara Wetlands. The trail continues along raised boardwalks with expansive alpine views, ending at beautiful Ryuzu Falls. After a soba noodle or tempura lunch at a cafe by the falls, you will drive to Mount Hangetsu for a short walk to the Hangetsu Observation Deck which offers incredible views over Lake Chuzenji and the National Park. On return to the hotel, enjoy a soak in the relaxing waters of the hotel's indoor or outdoor Onsen baths, which draws straight from the Yumoto Onsen hot springs. You may wish to return to the Lakehouse for dinner tonight or head to the Bar for a light meal and drinks in the atmospheric lounge.
