Your main luggage remains onboard the houseboat. On the track each day you will carry a day pack (small backpack) with your lunch, snacks, water, waterproof and warm layers and other personal items.

Your main luggage remains at your accommodation (hotel, lodge or boat) and you will carry just a day pack weighing 5-7 kg containing the items you need on the trail, including your lunch and snacks, water, waterproof and warm layers, and other personal items. Cotton, silk, or denim garments are not suitable.
