1Overview
Overview

After a relaxed breakfast, your Kangaroo Island wilderness adventure begins in Flinders Chase National Park with a short walk to Admiral’s Arch, where Australian fur seals can often be spotted around the rocky coastline. The journey continues with a fascinating insight into the intriguing history of Cape du Couedic and its iconic lighthouse. Later in the morning, you’ll set off with a private guide on a 13-kilometre hike along the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail. Starting at Remarkable Rocks, this 4-5 hour trek offers spectacular clifftop vistas, where rugged limestone and granite formations contrast beautifully with the vibrant turquoise sea. Enjoy a packed trail lunch in a scenic spot where you can observe local seals playing in the water and basking in the sun, before reaching Southern Ocean Lodge by foot mid-afternoon.
