Considered a highlight of the Heysen Trail, this walk offers some of South Australia's most striking ocean views
This spectacular 11.5 km section of the Heysen Trail begins at Waitpinga Cliffs, on the eastern end of the Fleurieu Peninsula's southern coast. Traversing the Newland Head Conservation Park, the landscape shifts from coastal scrub to open grasslands, with plenty of opportunities to spot native wildlife, including kangaroos and seabirds. Enjoy a packed trail lunch while taking in sweeping vistas of the Southern Ocean from the cliffs' edge before continuing to Kings Beach, a secluded cove with calm waters and pristine sands. Private transfers and a packed trail lunch are included.
Year-round (subject to weather conditions)
