This coastal walk covers some of the best sections of South Australia's renowned Heysen Trail at its southernmost point, from the Tapanappa Lookout to the Trig Campground
Characterised by vibrant green hills, rocky bays, abundant wildlife, and sheer clifftops with panoramic ocean views, Deep Creek Conservation Park is a haven for walkers and nature lovers. Your local driver-guide will collect you after breakfast for a day on the Heysen Trail walking from the lush clifftops of the Tapanappa Lookout to the Trig Campground via Deep Creek Waterfall. Covering some of the most picturesque sections of the southern end of the 1200 km Heysen Trail, your walk starts with panoramic views up and down the south coast before you descend the valley to the peaceful oasis of Deep Creek Waterfall. This is an ideal spot for a rest and morning tea by the water’s edge before beginning the ascent to the other side of the valley. As you head closer to the Trig picnic area, the old-growth stringybark forest soon gives way to coastal views. Enjoy a delicious post-hike lunch at this scenic viewpoint before returning to your luxury accommodation in the afternoon.
