El Questro offers the best of Kimberley hiking, with its magnificent gorges, many of which end at a waterfall or swimming hole

1Overview
Overview

El Questro offers the best of Kimberley hiking. For a real adventure, we highly recommend the El Questro Gorge walk. Walk through the butterfly-filled rainforest and climb the boulder-strewn valley before arriving at the most stunning waterfall. The first half of the walk follows a narrow spring-fed creek through palm and fern-clad escarpments to a small, crystal-clear swimming hole. Here you can unwind and drink in the beauty of the rainforest. From this point forward, the trail becomes more challenging. The private waterfall and its pool at the end are well worth the effort, though. Time your hike right and you'll reach the top just as it's bathing in the midday sun.
