Wilderness Lodge is located in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage-listed area in the southwest of New Zealand's South Island. Surrounded by lakes, rivers, rainforests and a dramatic coastline, it is a haven for nature lovers and active travellers, with the Lodge offering a variety of guided nature-based experiences and discovery tours. The Lodge has been actively involved in penguin conservation for over 30 years and is the best place in New Zealand to see the rare Tawaki (Fiordland crested penguins) in their natural habitat.
