Reserved exclusively for guests on the end-to-end guided Milford Hike, Glade House is nestled on the edge of the Clinton River in Fiordland National Park. Hikers reach Glade House on night one of the guided Milford Hike. Like all private lodges owned and operated by Ultimate Hikes, this lodge can accommodate up to 50 walkers and provides modern comforts including ensuite rooms and spacious lounge areas to enjoy the view of the national park right outside. Each lodge is fully staffed and offers lounge, bar and dining facilities serving tasty dishes for breakfast and dinner, with snacks, tea and coffee provided on arrival. Alcohol is available to purchase at the bar. We recommend the private ensuite rooms, which can be configured as a twin or queen bed set-up.

Location & Access

Glade House is reached on foot departing from Glade Wharf, at the northern end of Lake Te Anau. The Milford Track Hike commences in Queenstown on New Zealand's South Island. On day one guests travel by bus from Queenstown to Lake Te Anau, and then board a boat for a one hour cruise to Glade Wharf. This is the start of the Milford Track and Glade House is reached after a short walk.
