Walk Into Luxury Prize for Australian Medical Workers

As part of our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to throw our arms around Australia’s doctors, nurses and other front line medical professionals and give them something to look forward to post-COVID.

In March we announced a luxury escape for two on offer for a deserving medical professional and called for nominations. The prize? A luxury walking holiday for the winner and their chosen partner on our Signature Cape to Cape Walk in Margaret River. We couldn’t think of a better way to recuperate after a challenging start to the year than four days in nature surrounded by vineyards, beaches and forests!

The response was overwhelming and truly heart-warming with nominations flying in by the 100s from all over Australia. The gratitude of Australians was clear. Country towns nominated their local doctors, families nominated their hard-working sibling/spouse/child who was knowingly putting themselves in harm’s way by going into work each day, and colleagues nominated each other for their professionalism and support.

On 1 July, we announced our deserving winners, Samantha (a nurse) and her fiancé Ronny (a doctor). Both have worked tirelessly in a Sydney hospital throughout the pandemic, which also caused them to cancel their wedding in June. The happy winners are now rescheduling their wedding and hoping to walk with us this Spring. We can’t wait to spoil them!
